MY PHILOSOPHY:

The world of photography is changing, and prints are no longer the only end result of a photo shoot. Of course we want beautiful prints hanging on our walls and displayed on our desks, but now we also want our pictures to be emailed to friends & family, posted on websites, and revolving in our digital photo frames. This is why I provide a CD of images for all my photo session packages, suitable for printing up to size 8×10.

Many photographers charge a modest fee for their services and a lot of money for prints. I place value on my creativity and my time, not on extravagant print fees.

For large-sized prints and photo books, I work with the finest labs in town, and your prints will be made to last and last. In my mother’s house, there are large prints of my brother and me as children still hanging on her walls; some are faded and some look as beautiful now as they did when they were first hung. I strive for prints that will still look great when your grandchildren look at them.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • When you call to book your session, we will have a detailed discussion about your expectations and desires for the session. We’ll also decide on the perfect location and discuss things like clothing and how you want to use the pictures.
  • From there, I will email you a confirmation and summary of all the information we discussed, as well as some other helpful tips.
  • Payment is due in full on the day of your shoot. I accept cash, check and Paypal. All charges are subject to California Sales Tax.
  • After our session, I will develop all the photos in my digital darkroom and make general adjustments for color and contrast.
  • All of your finished images will be posted in an online gallery so you may easily order all of your art print enlargements.
  • You will then receive these proofs on a CD for future printing and your archives.

 

PORTRAIT PHOTOSESSIONS

THE FAMILY SESSION: $650 + TAX

  • a 1-2 hour photosession at your home or other favorite location. There is a $50 travel charge for sessions more than 25 miles from the Monrovia/Arcadia area.
  • a maximum of 6 people.
  • all proofs from your session delivered to you on CD
  • a 30-day online gallery for ordering art prints

 

THE NEWBORN SESSION: $650 + TAX

I love shooting newborns and take time to make sure that the session goes perfectly. I will travel to your home and spend two careful hours capturing all those amazing newborn moments.

Please note, that newborn shoots are best done within the first 2 weeks after birth. Past 2 weeks, most babies will no longer be curly and sleepy, making newborn photos more challenging.

  • a 2 hour photosession at your home. There is a $50 travel charge for locations more than 25 miles from the Monrovia/Arcadia area.
  • a session with the newborn and the newborn’s parents.
  • all proofs from your session delivered to you on CD.
  • a 30-day online gallery for ordering art prints.

 

THE HEADSHOT SESSION: $400 + TAX

  • 1-2 hour photosession on location using natural and supplemented light.
  • Careful photo retouching done to a minimum of 3 images of my choice, according to your headshot needs
  • all proofs from your session on CD.

 

Additional Developed Proof Set: $100 + TAX

  • If you wish to have your proofs developed a second time, in a second medium (i.e. color and BW), then the cost is $100 for each additional proof type.

 

Photo Retouching: $75 per hour + TAX

  • If you would like additional retouching done on photographs from your session, I will carefully even out skin tones, reduce wrinkles, touch up blemishes, and whiten teeth to make everyone in the shot look magazine cover ready.

 

High Resolution Image on CD: $60 per image + TAX

  • You may choose to purchase a high-resolution version of your favorite images from your photo session suitable for large-sized printing and archiving.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY LESSONS

 

45-Minute Session: $125 + TAX

Three 45-Minute Sessions: $290 + TAX

 

A professional family portrait means that everyone gets to be at the picture, and you will get beautiful, personality-filled images, but what about pictures of your daily lives? Have you ever wanted to improve your own family photography?

I offer personalized photography instruction tailored to your goals and experience. Topics may include, basic camera operation, buying a camera, how to get the pictures out of your camera and onto the computer, exposure, framing and composition, capturing the moment, photographing children and shooting film. You guide your own session depending on your interests, skills and experience.

A package of 3 sessions makes a great gift for teen or adult photographers. It’s also a great way to help grandparents learn to use their cameras.

 

WEDDINGS

 

Prices begin at $2,500

Every wedding is unique and the photography of your special day should match your personal style. Please contact me for a personalized consultation, where we find just the right look for your wedding. All wedding packages include a complementary engagement session, online photo album, and a CD containing your digital negatives.
